"Building itself is old and rather quirky. Room was small but very clean and adequate for stay. Food both in evening and breakfast was exceptional and there is a good choice of beers. Staff all very accommodating - my only gripe would be that listing should include directions to car park - hotel is on a one way system and the postcode takes you to front whereas car park is at rear. Bit of a mare, particularly arriving during rush hour."

"Superb service and welcome, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped bedroom in a central position. Our full English buffet breakfast was included in the price and set us up for the day, whilst the spacious bar area served a very quaffable merlot in the evening! Factor in the rewards scheme and discount parking and this whole package represents tremendous value for money too. Highly recommended. "
