"Characterful but basic Chalet hotel. Perfect base for walking. The owner was a fantastic host - he explained the evening meal (local produce, excellent and cooked by his wife) in great detail.He also explained the available wines and, of course, the history of Chatreause. As we were leaving the next morning, he insisted we drive to the end of the valley before we continued South - wow! It was really worth it with stunning mountain scenery."

"Overall a vey high quality hotel. However, I had half board and although the quality of the food was excellent , I would have thought that dinner should give some options on the menu. "Didnt enjoy queing for 1 hour to collect sheets and check in then having to walk back 5 mins to hotel with everything inc luggage. Double trundle bed could only be made up as 2 singles and no top sheet... had to sleep next to blankets that werent laundered. Great position in town. Nice view. "
