Located on the Akrotiri peninsula of Chania, on the outskirts of the village of Sternes. The lovely beaches of Loutraki and Marathi are only a short drive away, as is the quaint village of Sternes.
Preferred guests are couples wishing to enjoy peace and quiet, respectful of the estate’s owners’ proximity. Maximum occupancy is 2, with the possibility for a cot for child up to the age of 2. Music/noise and conversation generated from the guests or equipment that they are using in and around the bungalow should be kept to a respectable level in consideration of the owners and must be reduced to a minimum after 9 pm.
Location:
The pretty village of Sternes is located south of Chania International Airport (no air traffic above). The village includes 3 places to dine, a gyro/souvlaki café, a tavern, and a Kafenion (local café). There are 2 minimarkets providing basic groceries, fruit and vegetables, a bakery, and a pharmacy.
Approx. 3 km below Sternes are the sandy beaches of Loutraki and Marathi. Both have shallow, crystal-clear waters, are well protected from the northerly winds of July and August, and are favorites among both tourists and locals alike. There are 3 places to eat in Loutraki; a beach café, a grill-taverna, and another lunch tavern. Marathi has a slightly larger selection of restaurants, one of them, Patrelantonis, considered to be one of the best restaurants in Chania. Equally good but with fewer selections on its menu is the beach fish-café of Rokakis. Fishermen in the family assure fresh fish and seafood on a daily basis.
