Great Champaign Location
Although it was just my husband and I, this place could accomadate another couple and 2-3 children. This place is in a convenient location with grocery stores and restaurants close by as well as the University of Illinois.

Great quick stay!
Great place to stay for graduation, quiet neighborhood, grocery 2 blocks away, and straight shot in to campus. House is clean, water pressure is great (important!) we had a great stay and would return for sure.

Great family place
This property is sparkling clean and well Stocked with snacks, cleaning products, plastic dishes for kids even a high chair for those traveling with little ones. It’s about 15 min from campus.

What a great place to have your out of town family stay! Plenty of backyard room for a gathering and a lovely indoor patio. Quiet and safe neighborhood near grocery, restaurants and UIUC. We will be back!

Weekend Stay
House was well-kept, clean, and worked well for the 4 of us. Brought our two small dogs and they enjoyed the large fenced back yard and walks around the neighborhood. Not far from campus and other amenities.

Perfect little house
This was the perfect little house for our long weekend getaway. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We love the back family room with the large table that we played games at every night. We would highly recommend this property!

Grandpa's 90th
We were coming in town for a long weekend celebrating my grandpa's 90th birthday and didn't want to stay at a basic hotel... this was perfect, from location to space, down to the simple check in, communicative host, and small refreshments waiting at the house for our arrival. Great place near Rantoul Sports Complex
We stayed for a baseball tournement and had plenty of options for food and shopping in Champaign. Commute to the ball park was about 15 minutes. We would stay here again! Very clean and well equipped. Host was kind and responsive.

Very clean, spacious house.
This house is great, will sleep 8 people. Large bachporch with big table and enough chairs for a party! 2 full bathroomss. Centrally located to major landmarks in champaign.

Great house near campus!
We had a great time staying at Southwood House! It easily accommodated 6 adults, with plenty of room to spread out. It was stocked with everything we could have needed, and Karen was quick to answer any questions we had. The location is a short drive to campus, and there are several restaurant options nearby. We'll definitely try to stay here next time we come to cheer on the Illini!!

Perfect for a friends and family gathering
My friends and family found this to be perfect lodging for our gathering. There are 3 common areas inside the house to gather. 3 bedrooms (one with full/twin bunkbeds) and 2 bathrooms. What added value to this property is the proximity to the university (2.4 miles from the State Farm Center) 1 minute to a shopping center with a yogurt place, 6 min to a grocery store, and a neighborhood with walking trails. Communication with the owner was quick. We received clear responses. It was a wonderful stay for us!

Family Visit
We were in town to visit family. House was perfect! Clean, plenty of space to host our family dinner, huge back yard for our little dog and kids to play. Grill for cookout, everything we needed for cooking meals. Great family room with large table, tv, games! Location was perfect! Close easy access to everything. Would definitely book here again. Karen responded to all our needs quickly and was very accommodating 😊

Cleanest place we’ve ever stayed in
It was quiet day and night . Noise is the main reason we don’t like to stay in hotels. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The bed was fairly comfortable. It was surprising how dark the house was at night with its location. We remedied the situation with a little night light. All in all great vacation and would rebook.

Clean, Comfortable and Great Location
We were in town for a Family Friend's Semi Annual Party, and the location to their house was Perfect less than a 5 minute Drive. I could see if you were in town for an University of Illinois sporting event it would also be a great location. We were close to stores for shopping and though we spent most of our time out of the house there was plenty of space to spread out. It looked to have a beautifully large yard as well. Everything was very clean and updated looking, and the Check in process was very easy and the house cooled down very quickly during an unusually high heat wave. Would gladly stay again if I found myself in the area with a group of people.

Perfect family spot
My husband, son, and I had the good fortune to find this listing for our annual visit to Champaign over Christmas. It was exactly what we were looking for; pet-friendly, clean, safe, and well-provisioned. The check-in and check-out process was flawless and Karen was an excellent communicator and replied within minutes of contact. The neighborhood is quiet and central to multiple relatives' homes which makes checking on the dog very convenient. As most of our time there was spent sleeping, we were pleased with how comfortable the beds were and how soft and high quality the sheets were. My only tiny complaint would be that the bath towels in the primary bath were a bit worn and threadbare. Pretty minor on the grand scale. Having a washer and dryer on the premises for a longer stay is another feature I will take advantage of next time. I will absolutely book this property again and recommend it to others.
