"This place is a perfect base to explore Reims . We parked in the car park upstairs , outside for free ( there is underground parking on site too ) The room was nice , overlooking the river .. from the hotel it’s walkable to the Cathedral quarter ( 10/12mins stroll ) and there’s a wealth of restaurant choices and bars there . This seemed a very walkable and safe city and the Mercure is a nice easy , cost effective hotel to use as a base for a visit . "

"This brilliant hotel rescued me when I was stranded in Reims when the last TGV out of town was cancelled. The staff were utterly brilliant in looking after me. I wasn’t prepared for an overnight stay and they provided all the toiletries that I needed. And an iPhone charger. "The property is under renovation. Fresh paint and new bathroom and flooring and hall carpet on our floor. There was only one small pillow each for my husband and me. I did not request another but should have. No hairdryer in the room. The breakfast had a nice selection. The location was great for exploring the old town and canals. The keyless entry worked great."
