"Cinzia and Maurizio were very quick to respond to our questions and concerns. The property had a slight damp smell in the rooms, but with the windows open it lessened. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well fitted for making your own meals. Please note that there is only one bedroom in the main house, the upstairs bedrooms have to be accessed from a separate outside door. It didn’t bother us, but people with children may have a concern. Overall we really enjoyed our stay :)"

I had to call VRBO to have them contact the host to answer the question on whether I could adjust the dates of the visit. This should have been the first clue that this was not going to go well We showed up at 6pm local time after travelling on an overnight flight from the US and driving 4 hours with two little kids.
