"You gotta get here! After a week in a decent room in Beijing, this was a spa-like getaway. The place is beautiful and details are well attended to. The staff is great at communicating and can help set up drivers and tours as you are interested. We wanted a calligraphy class ... so they had a local painter come to the hotel and guide us in a private session. "You will get more than expected for the price you pay for staying here. First of all, me and my group of people had so many last minute arrangements and Steven and his team attended to us attentively, fulfilling all our needs. The place is so near to Muslim Quarter that its so easy to get souvenirs and you will not have a chance to be hungry. This place is extra cosy and all the staffs were so friendly to us. The toilet was cleaned everyday during our stay. Thumbs up to everyone in Alley Youth...

"The staff were accommodating. Not suitable for children. Dirty and run down. I have slept in worse so it is what you pay for. Booked a deluxe double room with ensuite. Received a room with 4 bunks and a shared bathroom. Squatting toilet & shower over toilet. I chose this place because of locality, by Shaolin Temple.I won't be booking here again."

"At the end of the day, it's a hostel. So there's no point having crazy expectations. But it was very nice. And for the value it superseded my expectations. Location was excellent. Right in the best food district. Food around the area was outstanding and incredibly cheap. To the right of the hostel there they have street food, you sit on these white Bench's. Food was amazing,. For 2 dishes, 2 beers it was 30RMB. That's about €2.50 altogether."
