"This was a hidden gem. Unfortunately, Hotels.com and the lodge's website weren't particularly transparent about dog pricing. (It's nowhere on Hotels.com, and you have to pretend to make a reservation AND pretend to pay before the rates will show on the lodge's website.) The stay wound up costing us more than we expected. "We had a nice time at the Fireside and the location is perfect. The room is updated and includes a coffee maker, pet covers for the bed, outdoor chairs etc. The view from the room is spectacular and my pup loved it. We had a great time chatting with other guests as well. The only unpleasant moment was the woman who checked us in, who gave us more of a lecture than a welcome. "The hotel was in an excellent location, staff was friendly and it was very nice. Beds were comfortable and nice room. The breakfast choices and dining area were incredible. The ONLY issue we had was young children above our room running back and forth for HOURS..and it was incredibly loud..I was traveling with my own children and even they got annoyed with it. Thankfully, they eventually stopped. If noise bothers you, I suggest requesting the third floor as we will be upon returning someday."
