Tranquil (albeit with country sounds like roosters). Peaceful. It is easy to walk into town, either along a hiking trail or along the highway, which has a sidewalk after a while. "We stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful old house, view of water below was so lovely. Enjoyed the pool but it was a little late in the year so it was just a little cold for us at our age. We still did get into it twice. Kitchen had all the pots and utensils we needed. We would love to stay here again when in Portugal."

There was no-one staying in the second property by the water but don't think it would have changed our opinion.
