"My family and I stayed here for one night. It was good value for money, with all mod cons, very clean and even a had a hot tub. The main bed is a huge 4 poster and very comfortable. I would stay again 👍"

"Stayed in the single room with a dog. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and a good size with single bed. The shower room was of a good size. The room overlooks the garden, some car parking and partial view of a road from the village. Out of season this room was lovely and quiet and suited my needs. If the pub had been busier with people sat in garden until later, then it may not have suited me personally, as much. Dining as a single person was ok but I would have liked to have...

"Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. "

Boy, this will fix me as an historical artifact, but when I was a kid, these things were called Ski-doo's. No doubt because there was a single manufacturer who bore the same name.

Jet Ski sounds more generic, and a little more fun, I guess. But, in either case, you're not really skiing at all. Water Hawg is probably a better description, but I doubt it would help anyone sell them.

You don't need a big ribbon of water like the Columbia to drop one of these things in and start moving. But, it really seems to help.

I'm frankly amazed at all the different craft and equipment that manages to commingle in this part of the river without ending up in a twisted mess.

Suffice it to say, if there's some form of water recreation you enjoy

Peak Hotel stay January

"Clean warm friendly. Restaurant and pub downstairs didnt notice it being any noisy upstairs in the room. Bed was comfortable four poster. Room spacious and tall with large window viewing street below and losehill opposite worth a walk along with mam tor at the other end. Free car park opposite the hotel."

"The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine for us but not good if you have children and luggage. There was a beer festival at the next door pub which made it very noisy. "
