"We had an overnight stay here as we were attending a friends birthday party nearby. A very pleasant pub in a quiet area. Good onsite parking . Staff were welcoming and helpful in assisting sourcing a local taxi service for us . Our room was spacious and comfortable .there was a very comprehensive info folder in the room.which had lots of info on local areas walks and local farm shops , one of which we headed to for brunch the next day and it was great.. Thoroughly recommend the Rose & Crown"

"We had a wonderful nights stay. The location is perfect for visiting Wells and backs onto the Cathedral green. The bed was very comfortable, a bit high maybe but such a good nights sleep. Can’t comment on the food as the restaurant was not open the night of our visit. "

"Grounds and buildings are simply beautiful. Renovated very tastefully and everything you need. Jenni is a truly lovely person and as a host was just fantastic. She went above and beyond for our stay. We booked accomodation for bridal party for the night before wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for Jenni even ensuring we were topped with refreshments while getting ready for the wedding. "We enjoyed staying in Paul and Judy’s shepherd hut. It is small and cozy and had everything we needed. The farm is open and has wonderful walking trails up to the top of the hill and over looking the gorge. We saw the cows and sheep Doug had a great visit with Paul, learning about the rare cows and sheep they raise. Be sure to get some local eggs and Jam from the farm- we were sad to realize we could have had fresh eggs after we bought some in town! Highly recommend this as a place to stay and...
