"Good size carpark Check in at reception and all information is given. Rooms up a flight of stairs The room was an ok size as was the shower room. Bed is super comfortable Wifi is okish The shower was hot and powerful. Evening meal was excellent lots of choices and good value. Also have a planetarium! But it was £49 for a show and talk, shame no guest rates!! Would probably stay again when in the area. Location close to Hadrian's Wall and the once stood Sycamore Tree Gap!! Also has a brewery next...

"The staff at the Boot and Shoe were lovely - they were friendly and helpful during our stay. The cooked breakfast was excellent. We had booked a table for dinner but unfortunately the table we’d been allocated wasn’t great so we dined elsewhere. The staff were really apologetic and gave us a complimentary round of drinks to make up for this. The room itself was fine. The bed was ok and the room was clean. It felt a bit tired though and needed a bit of updating. A good stay overall, especially...
