"It was very clean inside the room. Very basic. You could hear the street noise. No bottled water. The bed was okay. No blanket just a sheet; granted it is hot in Italy but I like a light blanket. The stairs are steep to get to the room. Don’t bring large baggage unless you are very strong. No handicap access."

On arrival, don’t follow map directions from app: they took us to train station (Casale Etrusco, to use name of establishment, is located at beginning of Via della Badia, just north of Donoratico, at km 266.15 on Vecchia Aurelia). "Cute b&b. Francesco was very nice, he didn’t speak much English but used google translate so we could understand all the details. I speak some Italian & could understand 90% of what he said without translation. They have a little breakfast nook in the room along with some fresh food outside on the patio. "Schön gepflegte Anlage. Ausstattung etwas älter, Küchenausstattung leider etwas dürftig. Erst auf Nachfrage wurde uns z.B. Spülmittel zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Personal kann überwiegend leider kein Englisch, daher ist die Kommunikation eher schwierig. Ansonsten aber sehr freundlich und offen."

"Die Unterkunft war ausreichend groß mit 2 Schlafzimmern und verfügte über alle notwendigen Sachen für einen Urlaub. Die FeWo lag ruhig neben Pinien und ca. 10 bzw. 20 min. Fußweg vom Meer bzw. dem Zentrum des Ortes entfernt. Die FeWo war für Castiglioncello sehr günstig, wir hatten einen erholsamen Urlaub, man konnte auch ohne Auto eine Menge unternehmen."
