"Quinta Trás o Rio is a large house, set in the hills outside the coastal town of Viia Praia de Âncora. It has six bedrooms, a swimming pool, large garden and ample parking. Its location in the hills ensures cooling breezes for a comfortable temperature in Summer. Porto airport is 50 minutes away. The house itself is stone built and rather rambling once inside. There are numerous stairs both inside and out. My ten year old grandson christened it : The House of Stairs. Families with toddlers...

"Northern Portugal is amazing, with history around every corner. And Ponte de Lima is close to all the early battles with Spain and the coast from which the explorers set out. We found castle after castle and saw ancient grape vines being harvested. Madelena and Luis showed us their beautiful estate that is, in a way, preserving the historic beauty of the Vinho Verde region."

"Die Anlage bietet eine tolle Aussicht, ist sehr ruhig gelegen, schön angelegt und ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Ausflüge. Leider war das Apartment an vielen Stellen mit schwarzem Schimmel belastet, was man auch riechen konnte. Diese Situation ist umso ärgerlicher, da wir vor Reisebeginn gezielt nach möglichem Schimmelbefall gefragt hatten, was von der Agentur verneint wurde. "

"Stayed in a first floor 2 bedroom spacious apartment with lovely views over neighbouring vineyards and towards the mountains. Good size Swimming pool which is set within beautifully landscaped gardens. Apartment was clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful holiday and would certainly like to return. Thank you."

"Wie hatten einen sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub. Das alte, schön hergerichtete Haus liegt sehr ruhig auf einem großen Grundstück neben dem Haus der Vermieter, die den Garten auch nutzen, aber so, dass man sich nicht gegenseitig stört. Die Vermieter sind sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen auch mit den Tieren (Hunde, Hühner und Katze) die auch auf dem Grundstück umherlaufen. Das Haus war einfach, aber gut ausgerüstet. Für uns perfekt. Mit dem Auto ist...

"My stay at this place was great, very quiet place, big property with small vineyards and a great swimming pool. Mr Ernesto was great and flexible with the check in and out (5stars to that) Nice couple of rooms for a couple each, kitchen is full equipped but oven (has a wooden oven outside) The only thing that I can mention is a lack of a full indoor living room which the bit outside is great for it any time of the day if good weather... if not is also ok and you always can burn some wood/coal...

"After a few days in Lisbon, we were ready to decompress, and this was just the place to relax. It's in a very small town without many amenities, but there is a great kitchen and supermarket just a few min walk away. The property is immaculate, and very modern. We really appreciated the quiet nights of drinking wine and playing cards, and stretching in the morning with the bright sun and beautiful deck."
