"Amazing place. We booked last minute as our previous accommodation had to be cancelled. A pleasant welcome awaited us at reception. The property was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The facilities were excellent, especially the pool and bar area, which never felt too busy. The private beach was also a lovely area and the sea was surprisingly warm. A great stay for our family of 4. 5 starts"

"Paulo and family are excellent hosts. Caring and considerate, we felt very at home. The property is incredible and very well maintained. The infinity pool overlooking the countyside is amazing. The.nearby town of Castallabate is nice, and you hear almost only Italian being spoken, which is nice and makes it feel authentic Italy. Grazie Paulo and family."

"This hotel is not even close rating 4 stars. It needs a major face lift: mold/dirt on balconies outside, inside the vinyl furniture is torn or has holes in many places and housekeeping took our extra pillows saying we were not allowed to have them! In our first room, the AC did not work at all and shower was terrible. Staff WAS very helpful and easily gave us another room. The AC in the second room at least worked though not well at all. It was always warm in the room. After the second morning we noticed that our suitcase was wet. This was because there was a MAJOR leak in the ceiling which began above the suitcase holder and continued for at least the rest of the length of the room. There is no shuttle (as advertised) to the beach and no signs as to where to even begin to walk to the beach. The pool area completely closes down at 7:00pm which is ridiculous for a "4 star" hotel in the summer. Would not recommend staying here and will not be returning. However, breakfast buffet was ample and the staff was lovely. "

"I'm reluctant to review our experience to keep this magical place to ourselves, and for fear that it will change. Nicole, Luigi, Guisepi, Michelo, and the rest of the staff/family including Noah the dog, made our stay at Il Cefalo truly enchanting. We coincided with the Festa della Bruna, which took place at the small village church which is only 50 meters away creating the perfect vantage point to take in the festivities ending with the most spectacular fireworks we've ever seen. We loved our stay, the wonderful variety of delicious food, the incredible views, and again, the impeccable service. We very much look forward to being back with our friends at Il Cefalo very soon. Grazie mille per essere stato così gentile con la mia famiglia. Un abbraccio enorme a tutti!"
