"We had the best time - loving all aspects of the resort from the location on a palm tree beach, the clear and warm water, our beachfront bure, the service, the choice of 2 restaurants and the AMAZING STAFF and music. The entertainment was so magical and we simply loved it. This is a luxurious resort but not as 'posh' as the adults only resorts - for us the best of both worlds - as we stayed in an adults only area, enjoyed the quiet beach (there weren't many kids here as there isn't a kids club) but also loved the authenticity of the entertainment and the fact that it was great fun - we had so many laughs - dancing bare foot to the band on Sunday night, enjoying a jamming sing along session with the wonderful guitarist on Friday and Sat nights, watching the whole restaurant team sing their traditional songs and so on - can't recommend highly enough:) "

"We had the best time at Castaway. The people who work there are genuinely such lovely people who brought so much fun and joy to every experience. It’s a small property and that enables the ability to either lean into the community vibe or just have a quiet and relaxed holiday. My kids (8&12) were never lonely or bored with all the water sports and activities. We had a south beach bura which was lovely and right on the beach giving a beautiful place to sit for the stunning sunsets. Highly recommend!!"

"Great family friendly affordable resort. Great time to go as it wasn’t too packed and loungers/seats/bikes were always readily available. Very clean room & ammenities, gardens/grounds maintained beautifully. Easy transport to and from airport to island. An easy, affordable family holiday. Just pray for good weather, it’s a little boring without the sunshine and beware of the sea lice! "

"Upon our arrival (11.30am), there was no one at reception, in fact we never got to meet any reception /management staff. The only people there were a cook and young man, that had no idea what was going on. He informed us that the reception lady was on her way and would arrive approx 4pm!! We managed to speak to her via the young man and the phone. We asked to be shown to our room but the lady (still via the phone call) said we didn’t have a booking! We said we had an email confirmation from Expedia and had a receipt that we had paid in full and that the booking was a confirmed booking. She said she had stopped dealing with Expedia and if we wanted to stay, we would need to pay again. We agreed, as the boat that had dropped us off had gone, but were then told that the rooms we had booked were no longer available so would have to take alternative rooms. There was another young couple there and they too were facing the same scenario. We were shown to our rooms. Our room had 3 single beds. The sheets and pillow cases were dirty and room was extremely basic. There was no way of locking the door to the room!! The other couple had a room that was even worse, dirtier bedding a toilet that didn’t flush. We decided to find alternative accommodation and booked into the resort next door. The other young couple stayed and ‘upgraded’ into our room. This place is dirty & unprofessional. Don’t be fooled by their description & photos. Not 24hr electric, WiFi only next to reception desk etc."

"Amazing island, beautiful friendly staff. The rooms are clean, stylish and very close to the ocean. I have been to Fiji 5 times and this was the best of all the resorts and islands I’ve stayed at. The food is really good- reasonable price and fantastic for all of us including the kids. Get over to the tiny private Mociu island which only Malolo and Likuliku guests can use. We had 3 hours to ourselves on this island with a packed eski/hamper for FJD 375. Snorkel alone with your family on the most colourful reef and climb the mountain for a 360 degree view of the mamanuca islands. It was probably the most special thing we have experienced as a family."
