"We stayed at the Ninfa Hotel at the end of November for a couple of nights. The staff here are engaging and dedicated, a very friendly and accommodating welcome. We had a guided tour of the facilities which are recently renovated and upgraded and it is all highly impressive. I recommend trying the restaurant - the food and attention to detail is superb. The inclusive breakfast provides choice and enough to set you up well for the day ahead. I cannot fault the experience, just wish we had stayed longer but we are already planning our return for the new year. I look forward to meeting the staff again who are so kind, chatty and helpful, oh and not forgetting a relaxing pre-dinner wine and tasty aperitvo in the bar - perfect!"

"Absolutely loved my solo stay at La Balconata! The house itself is unbelievably stunning, full of a huge variety of books and art and decorated with great taste and care. Kevan went above and beyond in making me welcome and comfortable; couldn’t ask for a better host. Highly recommend, especially for writers, photographers, and artists who are seeking peace, serenity, and beauty in a place that great writers like the Shelleys and Byron once spent time exploring and creating in. And the extremely well-stocked kitchen is a definite perk!"

"We spent a wonderfully relaxing week here with our adult children at the beginning of September. The house is beautifully situated and we made abundant use of the lovely outdoor spaces. The pool is superb and there are plenty of solid, comfortable loungers. The pool is not fenced off, though, so possibly not one for tiny children. The terrace is spacious and provides welcome shade on hot days. The kitchen is extremely well equipped which is not always the case with villa rentals. The showers and water pressure were extremely good … again, not always a given! Having visited Tuscany on numerous occasions we didn’t feel the need to travel to Florence or Siena, although the proximity of the railway station would have made the train a viable option should we not have wished to hunt for parking spaces in the towns. We visited Barga )great views!) and Lucca which was lovely and considerably less touristy than many other Tuscany towns. It is worth mentioning that the main part of Bagni Di Lucca is a drive rather than a walk away … at least, one wouldn’t wish to tackle that distance and gradient on the homeward stretch in the dark! As well as the good, reliable local restaurants there are a number of impressive Agriturismo establishments nearby. Also, do visit a vineyard! We had massages at the spa which really is an easy walk away. All in all, an idyllic location for peace, quiet and relaxation. We would very much recommend!"

"We had a great week at Casa Tolomei. The house retains its traditional historic feel though benefits from an updated kitchen and bathrooms. We stayed during a particularly hot week so it was great to have the new pool to keep cool! The family really enjoyed the space of having ante-rooms to their bedrooms too. The hosts were helpful and responsive to our requests too! Many thanks."

"What an absolutely stunning location! We stayed here for 5 nights in early August and it was perfect Beautiful location among the hills, private pool and bbq facilities, everything you need Things to note - the nearest shop is about a 15 minute drive away and the drive is not for the faint hearted! We got lost on the way because we didn’t use the right link that the hosts provided for us Other than that if you want to fall in love with Italy in a stunning location then stay here! Easy driving distance from Pisa / Lucca "

"We had a wonderful stay for two weeks .great location with a super market a great bars within a 5 minute walk . Host Paul really accommodating and helpful with tips on where to park etc in Lucca and Florence . Will definitely be back xx"

"This villa suited our purpose beautifully as a family of 6 adults and three children under 7 yrs of age. The house contained everything we needed and the balcony was enjoyed every evening after our gelato run to the nearby bakery/bar. Bedrooms were bright and clean. The beds are comfortable and roomy. Sadly no air conditioning but the stone walls, wooded valley location, and fans provided allowed for fairly comfortable sleeping. The pool and pool area was amazing. Location relative to local hot spots was good. 15 mins to Lucca, an hour to beaches, Florence, Viareggio, Pisa. Rod was very helpful in every regard, checking in regularly, booking dinner spots at the town festival for us and providing great recommendations for beaches and restaurants. Cons include no screens on windows, and several staircases to climb to reach the property which might prove challenging for guests not used to climbing a lot of stairs and those carrying bags or luggage. Our family had a lovely vacation at Villa Rosalena."

"Charming, captivating, relaxing, speechless. It’s hard to pick the right adjective to describe this cottage chalet getaway. It’s a quiet escape from the craziness of Tuscany but the ride is worth the reward. Nestled into the mountain op in an olive grove, you have everything you need, including your own pool and sunsets over the alpines across the valley. Even the uphill climb from the road is an adventure! Don’t forget to honk!"
