"Villa Anka is a litlle bit difficult to find as this address is not on google maps.The location is really in the sky, good for hiking. Not so convenient to go down to the sea as the road is really difficult, steep and narrow. The house is older, but still fine. Great collection of music - 60s, 70s- we really liked that. Unfortunatelly no free wifi. The view from the balcony was awsome."

Be prepared for the 15 min drive up small mountain roads from Alassio, lots of blind corners and hair-pin bends which mean you don’t pop out for milk etc easily. The property manager is on site and is helpful if you need beach or shopping suggestions. The facilities at the property are good and our children (8,11,13) loved the pool. "Where to begin? The “villa” had only one correct description. Magnificent views (only seen if you are standing…). None of the four advertised bedrooms were usable due to toxic extremely strong smell of the mildew. Black mold on the ceiling in all bathrooms, wet linens due to humidity, unkept grounds, weak wifi, pigeon excrements in the outside “pizza oven” but the best is yet to come! "Nice property with the most amazing views over the Mediterranean. Functional kitchen, two bathrooms and pleasant quirky front room. The two main bedrooms are a good size with access to a lovely terrace. The outside area is the star of the show with the amazing views and a pretty garden. Marco is the most friendly and accommodating host and provided lots of information concerning the local beaches, towns and restaurants. "Unfortunately the maintenance was very neglected, several things either didn’t work, were of poor quality, or old and dirty. Having to deal with repairs during your vacation is a real pain and waste of your time. The property is very dangerous for children as well as the elderly. Three is no grill outdoors (just a stone pit), there is a stairway with no railing (can you imagine?!?), home is located on a nameless dirt road high up a winding mountain which is a real pain having to go into town...

"The holiday home was superb and very nicely decorated and furnished. This home made the holiday. It fully catered for all our needs, included a need to relax in the evening after sight seeing or a day at the beach. Further, the garden was lovely and enabled us to have breakfast in the sun! Also, the owner was fantastic and kept checking in with us to make sure everything was ok. Overall, this holiday home added to our great holiday in Northern Italy!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the villa. It was well set up for guests. The views and outside space are amazing. We ate every meal looking out to sea. We had 2 teenagers with us and the WiFi worked well which kept them happy. We found the pool a bit small for us and preferred to walk to the beach at San Lorenzo. We would return but not in August when parking is stressful wherever you go! Communication with Marjolein was very good."
