"Check-in was a nightmare! The host needs to prepare a totally new plan to get the guest into the property. Arrangements need to be made upon reserving the property. The host claimed she had sent emails to us a few days before arrival, but we never received them. We were on a cruise to Europe and we never received emails she sent a few days before arrival. Hosts should make all the arrangements at booking and all the hassle can be avoided. Put keypad locks on the doors and give the guest the code...

"The apartment was exactly as described and the location is absolutely stunning. Very spacious (3 bedrooms and bathrooms), with a large kitchen and living space. "Great apartment with every amenity except a toaster. Ideal in every way. Balconies on both sides of the house. Cute neighborhood 8 minutes from town of Peniche and all the restaurants. The shower head did fall off when we turned the water on so little difficult with 1 shower for 5 people after surfing, but otherwise great place to stay"

For such a beautiful part of Portugal there was a disappointing view out of the apartment - looking at other buildings and being overlooked by them. Certainly not the stunning ocean view shown in all their marketing material. Also disappointing not to be able to control the heating given the cold wet weather in mid March - it did feel a bit cold in the apartment at times. "
