"This was perfect for our one night stop over and even had on site EV charging which is great to be ready for the next day. Very nice pub attached so no problem for food, and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast too. Recommended "

"Lovely position, great staff, food was very good. Excellent breakfast, fab location.... My only gripe, room quality could be better, nice enough but more 3 than 4 Star. The trap in basin was bit blocked /TV noise from adjacent room. Intruding /wearing fan noise from somewhere.."

"I like the location of the accommodation, it was easy to move around as it is a walking distance to the train station and tbere is virtually everything i need around,from shops to restaurants."

"Another really comfortable stay in quality surroundings and a warm welcome from the staff. The Hart Suite is cosy and welcoming with great views over the surrounding countryside. My first choice of hotel when heading north or south as it’s very conveniently located near the M1 - but feels much further away thanks to its tranquil location. "We came for 4 days to go to Download festival and it was perfect. The staff are all lovely.. especially Emma! Always helpful, even leaving out cardboard for our extremely muddy boots. The walk along the canal is beautiful too. Highly recommend this place."

"its a titanic pub, so liked the range of real ales, lovely village, everyone so friendly made you feel welcome,and two more pubs only few hundred yards away, crispen and black swan."

"Everything was as expected in cleanliness and comfort. The milk for making a drink with in the room was conatined in a fridge on the landing. At least it was fresh milk."
