"We love Gosby House!! So very welcoming from the beautiful Victorian design and remodeled rooms to the wonderful staff with whom we have become friends, and the delectable hot breakfasts every morning! And in the sleepy town of Pacific Grove, so very relaxing! Perfect place for a composition retreat! And just blocks from the waterfront with crashing waves and sea life!!"

"This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. The location is outstanding. Our room in the cottage was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Having a separate tub and shower and double sinks makes getting ready to go out so much easier. We would definitely stay again. "

"Although this property does not have an onsite restaurant/ so no room service… I can honestly say this hotel has nicer accommodations than the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco!!! The bathroom was absolutely fantastic - huge stand alone bathtub, giant shower with a bench, heated floors!!! Separate toilet of course The room had its own Fireplace… beautiful and functional when it was cold and two very comfortable classy leather recliners to relax in after a day of walking around Carmel. "Corola the property manager was amazing. The power had gone out in the area right before we got there, she was going to get us lanterns but it came back on so we called and let her know. Unfortunately the power only stayed on for 15 mins and then went back out the rest of the night. We disnt want to bother Corola to come out with the hope the power would come back on. Overall the property is very nice and bed was comfortable. Will need to visit again so we can really enjoy it more with power...

Great hotel mid mattress

"I loved the building, lobby, decorations, and restaurants. The mattress seemed worn because there were saggy parts where most people sleep. We requested a microwave and it was brought to our room promptly. The carbon monoxide alarm started chirping at 3 AM, and someone came to replace the batteries. "

"Place was amazing! Staff was professional and friendly. They have fireplaces outside that over look the ocean and you can walk down to the beach. Pet friendly and everything is close by. "

"This little hotel was so charming and a great place to stay in Monterey. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the fireplace helped create a cozy environment in our room. The hot tub was clean and very hot, and the breakfast was not bad! It could have included some protein and fruit, but it had yogurt, granola bars, coffee, juice, toast and oatmeal. It was located close to Cannery Row and the price was awesome. We’d definitely recommend it and come back!"
