Don't let that put you off, the inside is lovely. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was fantastic, and the location is perfect for exploring all the amazing things the city has to offer. "

"Great hotel if you’re staying in the Reykjavik area. It is extremely close to the downtown area, probably a 20 minute walk. If you go during winter, bring good shoes for ice as it may be difficult to clean the ice and it can be a bit slippery. The hotel does offer free parking, but it it is first come first serve, so keep that in mind! All in all, Aska hotel was great and very prompt in their message with all the details on how to get there and have access to the hotel itself. "

"The property was unique in its location on a peninsula. It was interesting, warm, unique. Loved the in room sauna and private hot tub which we paid extra for. A major con is that we repeatedly had to chase other guests out of our PRIVATE hot tub. No dining options mid week and nothing really nearby. No microwave. Limited space to place or store personal items or food. It was a lovely place. We would returned, but prepared next time. Housekeeping and amenities quite limited. "

"This hotel is in a fantastic location right in the heart of the city. It was great to be there for NYE. The hotel itself is simple and clean. Comfortable beds and good shower with nice products. Small details are missing, like it would have been good to have a boot tray to put your boots on instead of the floor getting wet from melting snow. We found the service ok, not particularly amazing. "Excellent place to stay, about 20/30 minute walk to the main area of Reykjavik. Superb staff and extremely friendly. Very easy to access the roads for adventures and an added bonus there’s a cat that lives in the lobby roaming around. 10/10 would recommend and stay again."
