"It was great to be close to everything in Ponta Delgada and the parking was convenient. Being 2 couples we were able to each have our own floor. The apartment was in a quiet area but just a short walk away from the action. Welcomebuddy was very helpful and on top of everything."

" An amazing villa with a stunning ocean view! We had a wonderful stay – the location is perfect, the house is spotless, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The heated pool was a big hit with the kids. Upon arrival, we had a guided tour of the house and were welcomed with local products. The highlight? Fresh bread delivered to our door every morning for free! Highly recommended!"

"This home was absolutely incredible, the pictures don't really do it justice. The rooftop deck gives great views of the sunset and the pool was a great way to unwind after a day of activities. There were multiple spaces to hang out during the day and evenings and we took full advantage of the kitchen. Overall we would absolutely recommend this home!"

"Nicely appointed home just outside of Ponta Delgada. Clean, and spacious with beautiful gardens. We were 2 couples on our first visit to Sao Miguel and the proximity to the airport and city gave us the perfect "home base" while traveling the beautiful island of Sao Miguel. "Our group of 5 adults had a wonderful week at House of Hydrangeas, a very comfortable home with a beautiful view of the ocean. It was so relaxing hearing the surf and the waterfall. The house was in the perfect central location for day trips to explore all parts of the island. Parking spaces were available right in front of the house.The house had everything you needed to cook meals and was also very near to excellent restaurants. "The owner is very nice and we were received in a very kind fashion. The house is fashionable and very cozy. The surroundings are just amazing. No need to worry about parking, since there is a parking spot right in front of the house, inside the property. We just loved it."

"The location of this place is unbelievable, we ate breakfast outside in the garden with an incredible view of the ocean! The windmill is iconic, very cool place to stay. The inside is cozy and was all that we needed, we had no complaints."

"With the beautiful and ever-changing views of the ocean and sky from the front windows, to the 2-minute walk to the best sunsets on the island, we so enjoyed the house. In addition, the back yard space was wonderful and private. The only negative was that it was difficult to get air to flow, insect-free, through the house. However we understand that air conditioning will be installed. Perfect!"

"The Blue House was a wonderful home away from home. From the many windows are beautiful views of the sea and coastline. The host welcomed us with a bottle of wine, local cheese and bread, and basics like eggs, butter etc… It is best to have a rental car as it is about a 20 min drive to the Ponta Delgada and the airport."

"Beautiful place and location on a one way street, a busy street, parking could be a problem. But we could always find a spot somewhere. The house had everything you would need. We found the top three steps of the stairs difficult for the 2 small children. Small grocery store right across the road, bakery up the road. Short walk to the ocean, fishing harbour, restaurants and shops We experienced 3 festival or celebrations in our week there. We would stay there again"

"This beautiful updated country home has kept its charm in the quaint village. Traditional Portuguese dishes are provided. The linens and towels are of good quality and the beds are comfortable. When we were there, the second shower did not work nor the stove top. There is no bathroom on the second floor. That aside, we enjoyed our stay very much. It was centrally located for our day trips."

"Great quiet location, walking distance to the beach and restaurant, with ocean view from living room window. Easy to drive everywhere from here. Very nice breeze from the ocean, and birds sounds in the evening "

"Very cool house and Miguel and Pedro were very accommodating. Had everything our family needed and very central location. Best to have your own car here as it is a bit of a distance from town or beach, but again, a great home away-from-home!"

"The owner lives next door and was so helpful anytime I had a question. The home was in a main road that led me all over the island. Love staying with n the village of Capelas in a home rather than a hotel."
