"Our stay at this home was amazing. Patrick, the host, made it so easy. He scheduled a car to pick all 15 of us up from the airport and had a delicious Costa Rican dinner ready. All the food that was made for us was delicious! He gave us suggestions for excursions and booked anything that needed reservations. The house is beautiful with so many unique details. The views of the lake are breathtaking. The house was very clean. The pool and hot tub were great to go in after a long day of traveling. Looking back at the trip we would have spent longer here than the resort we went to afterwards. "

"You can't get any closer to the hike for Rio Celeste and it is so much better tonight hike first thing in the morning before it gets too crowded and the animals are all still out! This place was so charming and simple. The staff are beyond hospitable and it feels like you are a guest of a family. The restaurant on site is very good and open until 8pm. We loved this stay and are so glad we booked it. The single beds creak a bit but we slept well anyway Breakfast was really good and the sausage was delicious!!! If you want an authentic experience, to see red eyed tree frogs at night and are open to off the beaten path this place was an incredible find at a great value. There is also a shop and another restaurant on the same little road, along with mountain bike rentals. Side note... If you get offered a guide to the waterfall it will be worth every penny! We did this upon arrival and are so glad we did "

"This was our first time to Costa Rica and we could not have been more blown away by this place! The house was spectacular and the surrounding rainforest where we could explore made the experience even more wonderful! We really enjoyed the dipping pool after spending the day exploring. The town of Nuevo Arenal was great! Very friendly people, great Sodas to eat at, and plentiful grocery stores. One note regarding the house, the upstairs and downstairs are not connected from the inside, only from the outside. With little kids, dad slept upstairs with a kid and mom was downstairs with the others. But this set up is great for families with older kids or two families vacationing together. "

"We stay for 5 nights and would’ve stayed forever! Beautiful, conveniently located property. Manuel gave a very informative tour of the flora and fauna on the property. By the first full day we had already seen 3 Collard Aracari toucans having a snack together, 1 Keel-billed toucan, a large troop of capuchin causing trouble in the trees less than 100 feet from our bungalow, and the troop of howlers that live on the property. Ramiro is the bestest boy and we miss him coming over for pets. Flory’s full breakfasts were wonderful, with eggs, meat, beans, homemade sweetbreads, fresh fruit, and pure fruit juice. The staff are excellent Meli was great with communication and answering any questions we had. Angie took us on a walk to see sloths and a beautiful spot with side by side waterfalls. She was so nice to offer to do so. Alejandro and Jess are two local students studying tourism, they were so eager to help with anything we needed or any questions. Their futures hold great things! They found one of the resident sloths hanging out very visible one morning, but we were hiking. They stopped us as soon as we arrived back to show us the sloth and that was so kind of them to watch for us. And the Gloria, thank you for resetting the AC 😉. This location is close to several great restaurants. They are only 30 minutes from Tenorio Volcan/Rio Celeste National Park. We will be back"

Booked based on location and proximity to Rio Celeste waterfall. Easily walkable to entrance of national park for Rio Celeste hike. Highly recommend for anyone looking to hike Rio Celeste Waterfall.
