"Fantastic hotel. The place to stay in Foggia"

"This is a beautiful little family run hotel on a side street off a lovely shopping area in Foggia, Italy. The rooms are on the second level and there is no elevator, but they are spotlessly clean and have good air conditioning and a nice airy feeling. The beds are very comfortable and the staff was warm and friendly but only spoke Italian. I brought my 82 year old Italian mother and she adored the staff. They made us feel welcome and comfortable the entire nine days we were there. The location is very convenient to walk to the best parts of the city and the train station. The restaurant was wonderful with a good selection of breakfast foods with charcuterie, fresh fruit, a wide assortment of pastries, and many beverages. I was very satisfied with everything about this hotel and felt it was one of the best choices I made. I would stay there again anytime and I can't recommend it enough. But it is definitely a more intimate family experience than a big chain hotel."

"Based on previous reviews we were looking forward to our stay in Melfi and were not disappointed. The apartment is bright and modern and perfectly located within very short walking distance of cafes and restaurants as well as Melfi castle. Our host Giorgio was very friendly and gave us many recommendations for our stay and kept in touch to ensure everything was to our liking. Highly recommended property and a wonderful host. Thank you! "We booked a room, showed up before checkin time and they were not operating yet for the season. Mistakes happen, so we weren’t too upset as we found a nearby room at Hotel Portobello . The groundskeeper told us to get a refund thru Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel, the hotel denied our refund. They said we didn’t cancel within the cancelation time frame?? This place is such a scam. I do not recommend unless you want to risk losing your money. "
