Nice clean hotel. Big rooms. Food is great especially the restaurant Almar. Staff is nice and friendly but they are too slow in checking people in. The hotel needs some renovations though. Didn’t get any perks for the VIP access

My recent stay at Oleon Cancun Playa left me with mixed feelings. **Service and Staff:** The service was a bright spot in our stay. The staff, particularly Isaac, Laura and Diego, were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay. Their efforts greatly improved our experience. **Food and Drinks:** The food and drinks were decent. While not exceptional, they met our expectations and provided a satisfactory dining experience. **Hotel Condition:** The hotel's condition was a significant drawback. The overall state of the building and rooms was outdated and poorly maintained. We had to switch rooms due to a persistent, inexplicable noise in the first one. Both rooms showed signs of age and neglect, with noticeable wear and tear and a generally yellowish tint that did not reflect the four-star rating advertised. There were also leakage issues in the room we stayed in. The installations and infrastructure were disappointingly old and did not match the hotel's online photos. **Miscellaneous Issues:** We were also disappointed by the sales presentation offered to us. It promised a discount on an excursion, which turned out to be misleading as we found others paid less for the same experience. Additionally, despite informing the hotel of our anniversary and birthday celebrations, no special acknowledgment or VIP treatment was provided. **Location:** On a positive note, the hotel's location was convenient. It's very nice that all balconies get great view of lagoon and ocean on the other side. Two restaurants are good dinner locations, with great service and a lot of menu options. The only thing we did not like was the bathroom door. It was very hard to open/close.

Greeted with champagne, allowed us to swim and enjoy the amenities while waiting for our room as we arrived early. Food was best on the weekends, and fine on the weekdays. No meal was bad per se! Pool and beach access were splendid. Excellent little boutique hotel. We went snorkeling through them and they made it easy for us to enjoy expeditions. The night events were not very popular, it seems most people leave the resort to party/shop. The shop there didn’t have any postcards. There’s a convenience store right across the street for those late night snacks!

This property is overrated that serves old foods that made people sick, the coffee place bad, the Desserts bad, the buffet places bad we had to eat only black tea toast eggs and honey to stay alive because our family members all got sick from the first day arrived and being in the bed with fever, the doctor came that cost another $215 p/p meds that the resort didn't want to take care of since they called it as travel food reaction like we were traveling for the very firs time and we don't get what's going on. The rooms are dorty and furniture too., will never recommend this "Boutique Resort" sounds very cozy and romantic but its totally aposit dont fall for the stunning pictures fotoshopped and good reviews that are fake earned, we came with a big group and everyone got sink which is scary with their third world country med. We Googled and the Hospitals wouldn't take anyone before paying $1000.00 usa upfront., it was very bad experience to take your family through ., the only great thing was the ocean with turquoise water but the beach full of sea weeds wasn't cleaned daily and the Flys were everywhere this hotel deserves 0 of 10 ...i just dont get it why not to make everything perfect to build a great customer for life., ppl are asking me the name so they can also go this Hotel is more like Motel6 or 3 but not a resort to recommend 😤 im very upset we didn't vacation for the last 2 years and now this is what we went through.. to be more specific i though ill loose 2 familymembers
