We have children that live in Playa Del Carmen and stay here on the way home a few nights normally before flying from Cancun. One of the most beautiful beaches in all the Maya Riviera with the Peninsula blocking the larger waves. Staff and service are incredible. There may be other options with Golf but if you want an amazing beach, an amazing resort and great staff and service look no further. Our favorite for 10 years Thank you Krystal

I parked my rental car in Valet for the weekend left sum Pesos in cup holder for parking valet stole the money out cup holder which no one even moved car all weekend. Room wasn’t cleaned properly even tho I waited a hour to finish mirrors were dirty with fingerprints. Was not the best trip experience.

Hotel is in an excellent location, on a beautiful stretch of beach and walkable to many restaurants, shops and clubs. Unfortunately our experience here was marred by the staff, who seemed untrained and generally uncaring. When we checked in (at 10 pm) one of our two rooms had not been cleaned, with trash on the floor and the beds unmade. This general lack of attention to the customer experience carried through our stay, including a whole runaround reserving beach beds (which we received a "VIP coupon" for, but found that the staff did not know how to use; we eventually had to escalate to the manager, Monserrat, who did actually manage to resolve the situation - thank you); to room service dishes that were left, uncollected, outside our room for literally two days despite multiple calls; to having a salad delivered with chicken pieces in it despite asking specifically (and making sure we said in Spanish) that we wanted a vegetarian salad. The majority of the other guests seemed Spanish speaking and so it may just have been that the staff was not used to (or did not want to deal with) English speaking guests, but the overall attitude we felt was uncaring. Despite that, the beautiful views and good (though slightly noisy) location make it hard not to enjoy your stay here.

Krystal Cancun is a great & convenient location to clubbing district. It has newly renovated rooms and nice staff. However, if you’re looking for quiet holiday vacation, i do not recommend this property. As its next to night club, the party pounding music is on all night long until 6am! We traveled there for New Years celebrations, had a great time, but absolutely no rest or quiet time. It also seemed as it was short staffed, the beach and pool side service is extremely slow. If you are looking for a luxurious and quiet holiday, stay away from this resort. It my teenagers party age kids loved it.

As others have said, the hotel is a bit dated, but the location itself is great. The beach is beautiful. My husband and I spent all of our time in one of the Bali beds - easy to reserve, and with a small upcharge of $50USD worth of bottle service for a full day. Omar and Karla were fantastic attendants at the beach bar all week long, we really loved seeing them each day. We did not spring for the all-inclusive package, as other reviewers indicated the food wasn't worth the price, but did spring for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was quite good and included fruit, omelettes, lots of pastries, veggies, coffee, and a variety of juices. We got room service one day (burgers, fries, chips, and guac, all just fine). We paid a bit of extra for the "romance" package, which was to include a welcome gift, no idea what that was - nothing indicated, but unimportant to our stay. We had a room on the top floor facing the water, which fit the description in my opinion and cut down on club noise from the area. We had to dodge the same people pitching timeshares in the lobby each day, but they were offering a free massage or excursion in exchange to listening to the pitch - we just didn't particularly want a massage or excursion. We were there for one thing: beach. We booked kind of last minute, so it was a bit more expensive than I think I would have typically paid for a place like this, but the pool and proximity to the beach are really worth the money.

In the bathroom there was a leaky pipe next to the shower head, dripping cold water on your back, and I like my hot showers, we did not find it convenient, the floors had permanent residue stains, the mirrors aswell, the lamps look like someone was smoking in the room, and beds had stains on sheets, although the access and view to the beach were stunning it does not compensate for the terrible room we got.

The hotel is located in an amazing area with a beautiful beach right in front of it. It’s also very conveniently situated near stores, restaurants, a supermarket, and a souvenir store. Although a bit old, the hotel is very clean and well maintained. We had an issue with the bathroom sink and they fixed it right away. The staff is always friendly, but sometimes they seem confused when we ask for a service or an information. I believe they should know or be better trained regarding everything that happens in the hotel. The restaurants in the hotel are super cozy and the food is great. The check in and check out were super fast, at least for us. Inside the hotel it was easy to buy tickets for excursions such as Chichén Itzá and Xcaret. It was also easy to book a taxi to the airport at the hotel, however I wish we had the same convenience when we arrived, I mean, I wish there was an easy and cheaper taxi waiting for us at the airport to take us to the hotel. To conclude, it was a great experience staying at the Krystal Cancun.

Hotel has multiple activities within the facility. Staff is great. Rooms are below average. Rain water seeped into the room and other parts of the hotel. Overall reasonable place to stay for 3-5 days stay.
