Welcome to our beautiful beach front home in Campbell River! Boasting exceptional mountain and ocean views, this seaside escape is an ideal getaway for a variety of activities including: water sports, wildlife viewing, golf, fishing, hiking and easy access to Mt. Washington.
Our 3 bedroom rancher is perfectly set up for fun for the whole family. Hanging out on the beach by day, followed by a beach fire and wildlife watching at dusk - this place truly encompasses the magic of Vancouver Island.
Open concept family, dining, and kitchen area with sliding doors to a patio just 10 ft from the walk-on pebble beach. Located on Alder Point with panoramic views of both Coastal and Vancouver Island mountains. Lots of private parking is available on the property including space and electrical plug-in for an RV.
If it's rainy, you can enjoy storm watching from the couch inside the house or outside in the oceanfront hot tub. Woods Creek passes through the half-acre property and makes a nice freshwater cold plunge. ***Please note that the hot tub is available for bookings from October 1-May 31. It will be drained for the hotter weather from June 1-September 30. ***
The outdoors is shared with local wildlife. There are frequent ocean visits from eagles, herons, seals, sea lions, porpoises — and always a chance of catching whales passing by. Woods Creek hosts otters and salmon during spawning season. Please note that being close to so much water means there can be non-aggressive garter snakes living here as well.
Stories Beach is a 5 minute walk away along the shoreline. When the tide isn't at its high point, water recedes from the pebbles to reveal an extensive sand beach great for lounging or playing. When the waves are up, this is also a common place for locals to paddle board or surf.
Your ideal access point to everything Campbell River has to offer.
Grocery stores, pharmacies and liquor stores in Willow Point are a short 5 minute drive, with downtown Campbell River being a 15 minute drive.
The popular Storey Creek Golf Club and Woods Creek Trails for hiking, running, or mountain biking are a mere walk or 3 minute drive. We have lots of other trail suggests - please ask!
Looking for more adventures? Skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing at Mt. Washington is an easy 40 minute drive away. Cumberland's popular mountain biking park is about a 30 min drive. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub after your day's activities.

Pets are allowed on a case by case basis. Please confirm and get host approval first.
- Stories Beach (when not at high tide) and nearby Hagel Park have great open spaces to let your pets run around. Let them explore the beach space in front of the houses in the neighbourhood but please respect our neighbours by not letting them run into their yards.
- Please pick up all pet waste before your departure :) There are outdoor trashcans located near the garage door which can be used.
- Take note that the property is located near a highway so consider putting your pets on leash as needed to keep them safe from traffic.
Campfires:
- If you plan on having campfires, please check first to see if there are fire bans or restrictions in effect at the time of your visit.
- Please ensure that fires are adequately put out with water when you are finished. The garden hose on the ocean side of the house is an easy way to do this. Please turn off the tap when finished with the hose.
Kids and pets:
- Please consider locking the main entrance because it sometimes opens if pushed on when unlocked
- There is unfortunately no bathtub in the home. The main shower stall doesn't have edges to accommodate a bath. However, there is a removable shower head for rinsing off pets.
Septic system:
- The home uses a septic field so please avoid flushing non-biodegradable (or slow-biodegradable) waste or larger amounts of chemicals down the toilets/drains.
- Examples of things not to flush down the toilet: hair and hygiene products
