"We had a great stay at this cabin nestled in Smith Flat. Location was perfect for a day at Apple Hill, Placerville or Sly Park(Jenkinson Lake) The house is really cozy with plenty of room for a large family of three couples. Very beautiful surroundings with a wonderful deck above the garage. The stars are amazing at night. Only complaint was downstairs bathroom was alittle dirty upon arrival. Other than that, it is an awesome place to stay. Owners are quick to respond. Very professional "

"I stayed here with 2 of my adult children. We were just craving some time in nature to hang out, eat good food and be cozy. :) Nice clean cabin, thoughtfully appointed, a wood burning stove and lots of big trees gave us everything we wanted. We stopped at Apple hill and picked up a pie and browsed a little in Placerville. Lots of scenic places nearby but for this trip, we were just ccntent to chat by the fire and munch on charcuterie. "

"We really liked the gated dog area. It’s a very short walk to the river. Both dogs liked the swimming, Rosie batted around acorns, chewed on acorns, barked at the deer, she got car sick both directions going up and down the narrow windy road. Yes we would stay here again. "- There was a gas leak at the furnace requiring heater to be shut off - Hot tub water was green on our arrival - Lights in the outdoor bar weren’t working - Lighting on outdoor staircase werent working (we had to unload our suitcases down dark stairwell) - Owner was quick to respond but only partially addressed issues. He sent someone to clean hot tub but she came after dark and we never saw her. No one checked in with us to explain why water had been green or explain what was done to ensure...
