"The house is set at the end of a very rural drive through the French countryside. Whilst VERY rustic, it has all the amenities you would expect, but is a compromise between a pretty old building and modern refurbishment. Perhaps not for everyone, but we loved it. P.S. mind your head on the beams upstairs."

"Beautiful property and grounds with lots of sunny spots and shady spots. The pool was beautiful too. We did a couple of day trips out but mostly just chilled out and made use of the pool and table tennis. There was also a tennis court with basket ball hoop but we didn’t use it. Good local supermarkets and we tried the local pizzeria and bakeries - all excellent."

"We had a lovely few days relaxing in the countryside. Great property, lovely open space for kids to play and gorgeous peaceful views across the valley. We did a day trip to Paris, taking the train from L’Aigle. Check in and out very easy and Nathalie an attentive and helpful host. Would recommend!"

"4 of us stayed in Les Chenes gite, which is a 2 bed cottage with its own huge area of garden, outside pergola, and a gentle stream bubbling nearby. Surrounded by trees and grass and birds chirping in the trees, colourful dragonflies and butterflies this was an absolute Eden of peace and calm. "Nous sommes 4 amis (2 femmes, 2 hommes) et nous voulions visiter de petits villages du Perche et de la région de l'Aigle. Le charmant petit village de la Gonfrière offrait une situation idéale. L'ancien presbytère comporte au moins quatre chambres individuelles et de nombreuses toilettes. "We were there for a week and we liked it so much. The apartment is cozy and very clean. Also the kitchen has everything you need. This peace that you can enjoy when you sit in the garden, priceless. The hosts are so friendly and attentive, you feel right at ease. Language barriers do not exist thanks to the translation app. I can recommend this apartment 100%."
