Everything about this hotel was spectacular! What an amazing place to relax and enjoy the finer things in life. Spent two nights here for a romantic birthday celebration and myself and partner couldn’t have been more pleased. Beautiful property inside and out, loved walking the gardens/landscaping. Amazing food at both restaurants (the meal at Sa Clastra was incredible and a great foodie experience). If you can afford to stay here, you should.

Great hotel but overpriced
Castell Son Claret is a great hotel and we enjoyed our stay, but I must conclude is is overpriced for what it offers. It would be a five star rating if the price was 400-500 EURO, but compared to luxury hotels in rest of Europe, USA or Asia I have stayed at, its 2-3 times too expensive.

Beautiful property - wonderful sound of silence other than the crickets/insects humming. Incredible staff - so polite and helpful so 10/10 to them! Breakfast was wonderful and had no dairy milk plus the most delicious almond croissant they grow their own lemons and offer trails around the huge property. we have ever had. Some other observations; - hotel is 30-40 mins from Palma town and is very quiet. So not for a big group wanting to party hard I’d say. Perfect for chilling and romantic getaways - hot breakfast ordering little slow/confused so had to reorder and not always correct. - night 1 couldn’t work the AC - not sure if us or it but others in our groups struggled too. Perhaps an explanation is needed when showing us the room initially - no hot water in last morning hotel wide. One of those things with Spanish islands perhaps but a shame as really wanted one - the trails are on a map but no signs so you can’t really follow to easily. We gave up as only had an hour. - didn’t have a spa treatment as quite pricey but the indoor pool looked lovely Overall if I wanted a quieter getaway and happy to chill by the pool /play tennis then this is beautiful. The distance from Palma and beaches etc may make those more ad hic trips rather than daily excursions so something to think about depending on the type of trip you want and if you have a car or not.

Stunning!
This hotel is stunning! We will return for sure. It looks fantastic and sits in some lovely grounds away from any noise. Lovely courtyard; outdoor eating area; and lounging by the pool area with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. On arrival the staff were helpful and attentive and the tapas we had in the bar area with various drinks were all served quickly and looked and tasted delicious. Our room was spacious, well appointed and had a nice view of the internal courtyard area. We ate in the restaurant (not the Michelin one!) and the meal was excellent and throughout the evening the service was very professional and we felt well looked after. Breakfast is a real treat! You can eat outside in the courtyard overlooking the pool and surrounding hills and the choice of food is excellent and as always, the staff were really friendly and helpful, making the whole stay feel very relaxing and enjoyable. We lounged by the pool on checkout day and you can get drinks at the pool area from very friendly staff and we felt in no hurry to leave! And now for the one disappointment! Our ensuite walk in shower in our room mysteriously flooded on use causing the whole of the bathroom floor to become a lake! We reported it immediately and reception assured us they would tend to the problem immediately. As we were checking out that morning we don't know if it has been fixed as work was still going on as we left but they had dried the floor and cleaned the bathroom anyway.

Gorgeous property with horrific staff
The property & facilities at Castell Son Claret is everything you pull up hoping for and more. The castle is magnificent, the patio is spectacular, and the pool area is private and comfortable. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the front desk staff. They asked if we'd like any reservations made for us. The hotel has a renowned restaurant on site called Zaranda. I was told that there were no openings in the restaurant for the duration of my stay. I offered to be extremely flexible, and said I would take a reservation at any time of day. I was told that there wasn't any openings, day or night that could be made available. When your hotel is 30 minutes to the nearest town, you'd think they would make it a priority to ensure their hotel guests can get a table. On day 2 we booked massages. The indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and showers were great, but to our surprise it was our waiter from the pool who was assigned as our therapist. I asked him if he was a waiter or massage therapist, to which he replied, he does a lot at the hotel? Weird. After a mediocre massage, we moved on. We then booked an excursion through the hotel. Excursion was a 90 minute drive. We went to leave in the morning and were given no information. They didn't have the name of company, name of tour guide, or where we were supposed to meet. We drove down 90 minutes, found them, and learned the front desk staff booked us on wrong tour. No apologies, just a $50 cancellation charge.
