"A lovely place to stay ( Oct. 2024). We had a nice room (cottage #1) which had a basic kitchenette. Large room and bathroom, separate bedroom. Very friendly owners. The property is in an excellent location, centrally located on the main road. Many restaurants and bars a short walk away. Laundry facilities on site. Secure parking. Highly recommended."

"Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult."

"The moment we opened the door the cottage had embraced us both, we felt welcomed and relaxed. This amazing 1860 cottage has been beautifully renovated with rustic features and gorgeous timber furniture throughout. The open fireplace was very romantic along with the fair lights covering the ceil which felt special. The view of its garden was simply amazing. "I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend in Elisa's cottage. The location is stunning and so private. Kangaroos grazed around the verandah while i had my morning coffee. The cottage is cosy and very comfortable. Elisa has thought of everything you could need for some peaceful downtime. Highly recommended!"

"What a beautiful setting and property. It was a chilly weekend, but the wood fire inside was fabulous. Looking out over the hills and dam with alpacas, sheep and kangaroos nearby grazing. Lovely and quiet and property had everything we needed with thoughtful touches such as chocolate and bubbly for our arrival. Beds super comfy and location was very convenient between Macclesfield and meadows. Highly recommend this place. "

"This house was so comfortable and with the most beautiful outlook. Everything was just perfect for our stay. Fresh eggs, milk, bread and jam were provided as well as coffee and assortment of tea. The location is close to wineries as well as a short distance to Hahndorf, Stirling and Mt Lofty. Can't wait to stay again!"

"Beautifully refurbished heritage home. Most of the mod cons. Plenty of space. Nice walk down to the river. Good location for those looking to head to The Bend racetrack about 15 minutes down the road. Would decibel stay here again. Only slight issue was the lack of WiFi. Not many places in 2024 that don't have it"

Room ticked all the boxes except there was something going on with wet area on carpet in front to bathroom door.
