"We stayed in December, off season. Most of the stores and restaurants were closed, but the grocery stores were open. The property was clean and spacious. The frying pans and spatula need to be replaced, otherwise all in the kitchen was good. The rooms were quite cold when we arrived; the heaters on the ceiling worked ok. "The property was very clean and very well equipped. Communication with the host was very good. It was a short walk - 10-15mins - to both beaches, albeit the walks were a little difficult for my parents due to the stairs. Cala Mendia itself is a very quiet resort but it had enough restaurants for our needs. I would recommend the local shops for essentials only as they are very expensive. We took the bus to Porto Cristo and did our shopping there. A taxi was about 10-15euros back. Overall we had...

"Can Ferrereta was an excellent hotel. If you are looking for a (reasonably priced) 5-star hotel this is a great place. The staff were EXTREMELY attentive and kind. As an American who has not traveled to Europe in a decade, the hotel was amazing at recommending everything from places for dinner to recommending a car rental company. The location is excellent, outside of the main Palma region so a little more quiet but not too far from being able to do things. If you do get a car I would highly recommend their valet services as parking is almost non-existent around the hote"
