"Excellent lake house for small or large groups, couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The kitchen, huge deck, multiple grills/smokers, indoor/outdoor entertainment room, etc. were all top notch and provided for multiple areas to entertain and relax. Highly recommend this property!"

"From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of this property. The open concept provides amazing panoramic views of the lake from each room in the house. The hospitality of the hosts is second to none. Their attention to detail and the special little touches like supplying fresh fruit, water, juices, and a warm welcome package ensures their guests feel right at home! The house is inviting and relaxing with all the modern conveniences. Be sure to brew yourself a cup of coffee to watch the sunrise peak through the trees from the front of the property or pour a nightcap and sit out on the back deck to watch the colorful sunset over the lake.We could not say enough great things about the house or the hosts to do it justice. You'll just have to visit for yourself! The weather turned while we were there and we, unfortunately, had to cut our trip short to return home. The owners we extremely responsive of the situation and kept our safety as a priority. They informed us that there was a storm shelter at the property and even offered to refund the remaining days if we needed to leave early. The genuine kindness and understanding from our hosts was so appreciated! We can't wait to make a return trip and spend a little more time here. The house, the hosts- truly above and beyond what we would have imagined. Ten out of ten for sure! "

"Our experience at Lake Barkley resort State Park was excellent. The food was amazing and the great prices were a nice surprise. The rooms were really nice, the bed was comfortable, The view of the lake was amazing. The only negative was that there was a lot of construction going on and there were not signs telling you where you were and how to get to where you needed to go. When we drove up, it was very difficult to find the door to go in because of all the construction and the lack of instruction with signs. I’m sure that will be better when it’s all finished, however, it could be better now and eliminate a lot of confusion to people who have never been there before. But overall, it was an excellent place to visit and stay and we will definitely come back."
