"Location near the beach is fantastic. It is an older place but for the price it is an excellent value. The upstairs was very loud at night by the road and the internet is not good. The beach out front is fantastic and staff is super nice. Definitely good value!!"

"The property is a little off the beaten path, but only minutes away from a stunning beach. The property itself is really beautiful. All the amenities you would want to stay snuggled up during a rain storm, or being a part of nature. There is a cute shop with anything you may want, or just run into town for food. Would 1000000% visit again."

"J'ai beaucoup aimé l'endroit. C'est en pleine nature, on peut y voir beaucoup d'animaux. Les équipements sont un peu rustiques, mais ça donne un vibe plus authentique. J'ai bien aimé mon séjour à jaser avec Jim (le propriétaire), c'est un homme fascinant, il semble un peu rough, mais est une bonne personne. La route pour s'y rendre à partir de Montezuma est un chemin de terre, mais était en très bon état (janvier). Il y a de bons petits restaurants à 5-10 minutes a pied de l'hotel."

"A person really couldn't ask for more, in a pricey area. Local business owners have driven the prices far too high for this area. Beach Cabinas offers a simple stay, next to good waves. This used to be a paradise. However, outsiders have changed Santa Teresa into an unneeded posh and snobby place. They've successfully alienated the local Ticos and hire cheap workers from Argentina and Nicaragua. I've seen this place change over the last 20 years. Really sad! "Dishes in the kitchen were dirty and our room was filled with mosquitoes. We left all doors shut but maybe they leave them open when they clean. We slept with the blankets over our heads, battled them off all night and were still covered in bites. Also be aware that that downstairs is extremely loud if someone is staying upstairs."

"A completely run down place. When entering the room there was mouse poop on the beds and the shelves. Taking a shower was impossible because there wasn’t enough water available. Place is not safe. Long dark walkways without any illumination in the property to get to your cabin. At night lots of traffic noise and parties in the neighborhood. Not recommendable"

"This property is very beautiful, the pool is really nice and the villas are excellent and the view will take your breath away. The walk to town is 25 minutes and the hill is tough to walk if you are not in good shape. The owner lives on site, he is a friendly man but there is no reception and check in information was sent to me the day I arrived and had no internet connection. "Beautiful jungle retreat on the hill above Montezuma. Limited number of rooms, bright and airy. Clean, with mini fridge and a complete kitchen below an open air dining with a great ocean view patio where a nice breakfast was served daily. Laundry is available for a fee. Access is up a steep, potholed road just out of town. Turnoff to lodge is a narrow dirt with ample parking. A trail head leading to upper falls with swimming is right out the door. Staff is outstanding and the owner was from the State where I live. Some erosion control work was being done during our visit and only a minor distraction. Highly recommended if your in the Montezuma area."

"We stayed here for two days. Very clean room and hotel. 5 minutes walk to the beach. Nice comfortable bed. The most helpful and friendly staff. Especially David and Victor and Estrid. They respond to WhatsApp messages and calls immediately with helpful answers. David was on the phone with me for over twenty minutes walking me through the process of booking a ferry from Paquera to Puntarenas. We would most definitely stay here without hesitation if we are again in Santa Teresa!"
