"The property is a little off the beaten path, but only minutes away from a stunning beach. The property itself is really beautiful. All the amenities you would want to stay snuggled up during a rain storm, or being a part of nature. There is a cute shop with anything you may want, or just run into town for food. "Location near the beach is fantastic. It is an older place but for the price it is an excellent value. The upstairs was very loud at night by the road and the internet is not good. The beach out front is fantastic and staff is super nice. Definitely good value!!"

"J'ai beaucoup aimé l'endroit. C'est en pleine nature, on peut y voir beaucoup d'animaux. Les équipements sont un peu rustiques, mais ça donne un vibe plus authentique. J'ai bien aimé mon séjour à jaser avec Jim (le propriétaire), c'est un homme fascinant, il semble un peu rough, mais est une bonne personne. La route pour s'y rendre à partir de Montezuma est un chemin de terre, mais était en très bon état (janvier). Il y a de bons petits restaurants à 5-10 minutes a pied de l'hotel."

"Dishes in the kitchen were dirty and our room was filled with mosquitoes. We left all doors shut but maybe they leave them open when they clean. We slept with the blankets over our heads, battled them off all night and were still covered in bites. Also be aware that that downstairs is extremely loud if someone is staying upstairs."

"A person really couldn't ask for more, in a pricey area. Local business owners have driven the prices far too high for this area. Beach Cabinas offers a simple stay, next to good waves. This used to be a paradise. However, outsiders have changed Santa Teresa into an unneeded posh and snobby place. They've successfully alienated the local Ticos and hire cheap workers from Argentina and Nicaragua. I've seen this place change over the last 20 years. Really sad! "A completely run down place. When entering the room there was mouse poop on the beds and the shelves. Taking a shower was impossible because there wasn’t enough water available. Place is not safe. Long dark walkways without any illumination in the property to get to your cabin. At night lots of traffic noise and parties in the neighborhood. Not recommendable"

From the monkeys hollering overhead while relaxing in the pool at dusk to the other native species making their daily trek in front of the house, we felt like the animals in the cage at the zoo while the animals checked us out! The caretaker, Trixie, lives on the property but you only see her if you need to! She's gracious and helpful. Responded immediately to the couple of "Costa Rica" home tricks we needed to learn.
