"The Da Vere Cotswold Water park hotel, has great facilities, good size bedroom and very comfortable beds. Food on the Brasserie was excellent but quite a limited dinner menu. "Lovely hotel for a short stay, the staff are all friendly and helpful, the room was spacious enough for a travel cot and had a large dressing area and lovely views of the garden. The breakfast and lunch was good, fresh ingredients and well seasoned. My only note would be that the travel cot provided had no mattress (just the thin hard one that comes with a travel cot), as they left a large blanket and sheet I wrapped the sheet around the blanket to make a mattress and it worked very well,...

"Excellent location to the centre and it really easy to walk to and we felt safe doing so at night. Unfortunately for us, we felt the room was noisy and we could hear other guests walking in the corridors and the rooms either side and above us. The bed was also very creaky. This is understandable with it being an old building but as a light sleeper and us having our dog with us this did make the stay harder and meant we didn’t sleep well. "Our Christmas stay at the Welcombe Hotel was a nice break. The mansion is stunning, set in 157 acres of beautiful grounds, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot deer roaming around. "Second receptionist warmer than 1st. Maybe the offer of calling us when the room was ready instead of asking us to call to see if the room was ready would have been more efficient/going the extra mile. "We (my partner, and my Mum) had a lovely stay here to celebrate my Mum's birthday and really appreciated the treats left for us! Check in was super easy with the lock box. The cottage is great for 2 guests as both bedrooms have an en suite (although the upstairs/loft bedroom doesn't have a door FYI).
