"The Log House felt palacial and homey at the same time. The prperty is well maintained and the atmosphere created by the mix of gardening and nature of the country was seamlessly combined. The Log house was tastefully decorated and provided all the comforts of home with the feeling of getting away. My friends and I were able to comfortly and effortly enjoy time together in a clean and comfortable space, create food for one another, laugh, dance, relax together with the space that also provided for private night sleep and down time in our extremely comfortable beds! "

"It is well kept could use some updates but it is the best in the area. Great staff willing to do whatever you need. Was able to have my dog with me and they were super nice to him. However, the breakfast could use some work. I was able to also have a “mini” kitchen in my room as I was in an extended stay situation. With the inclusion of a fridge and microwave. Super accessible to where I needed to be. "

"A few friends stayed at the LOTR Cottage as a fall get away. It was so cute and so cozy. There is a hot tub availabe for use, 2 different zip lines, a fire pit with firewood available for purchase. The host Jill and Joan were so sweet, very nice and communication was excellent. It is located near a small town of Upsala were the local bar was so welcoming. Gave us great hospitality and the food was great. There is a grocery store very close by as well in case you needed to pick up anything. We brought. Projector and had a scary movie playing by the fire - it was perfect. The one and only thing I have to say is we werent aware there was another rental on the property. Which absolutely wasnt a problem for us. We just werent sure if sharing the hot tub would have been an issue. Which for us it wasnt. That being said, we would stay here again! Jill and Joan were fabulous."

"All very nice. Heads up no coffee nor sugar. You need to bring your own. We found coffee filters but you might want to bring those too. Fortunately we brought our own coffee stuff for traditional coffee pot. Which was provided. "
