Gold Hotel is a good value for money, "no-frills", clean and comfortable location that is in Buda; but a relaxed walk (30 minutes ) from Pest. Great staff both at the front end and the dining room. Has a hearty breakfast buffet. The only reason for my average rating is that this location did not seem to be a 4 star location..in my opinion. I would reccomend this location for value travellers.

Looks older, but is kept in real good shape and very clean. It was very hot and according to Expedia airco was included , but it was only available for an extra fee. However everything else, including the breakfast was great.

We would go back here again
A small characteristic hotel where the staff were very professional and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. The only disappointment was that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but there was a fridge and safe. However, the breakfast selection and choice of foods was plentiful and varied. The hotel is on a slow incline of a hill when walking back from the town (about 15 minutes walk) but well sited.

Very nice family hotel.
Very nice hotel in short distance from old town. bus station 150 m from the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Somewhat oldish decoration but very clean and we loved it. The only downside is that it's located on a main road. They did give us a room facing the side but yet you could not open the window because of the noise.

Good customer service, breakfast was ok but could do with more variety, clean however our room wasn't swept on one of the days as particles from the day before were still on the floor. Room and toilet are in good condition. Good location away from city noise but close enough to walk.

The hotel was only a walking distance to the Budapest Congress Center. And not too far to the City Center. The staff were helpful, I have a good experience in the Hotel. The room was tidy, the bathroom was always clean. The bed was always fixed when we came back to the hotel. I can suggest to my friends to stay at Gold Hotel Budapest,

Good area, close to the city Center, bus station just minutes away. Decent room, kinda small but clean. Unfortunately no breakfast, just yesterday’s croissant. Not necessarily cheap, but it was right before new year’s holiday so it’s justified.

Dont stay there.
When reaching the hotel we found the room to be somewhat clean, could have been cleaner. There is a minibar, but you are not allowed to use it to put water in. There is not even a kettle in the room for coffee/ tea, let alone any means of heating up food. There's nowhere in the close area (10 minutes walk) to eat aside from a strip bar, and no grocery store. After a day we noticed water coming through the window. When a loud and drunken party came in to one of the floors (unluckily it was ours) the entire floor was awakened at 2AM and there were shouting and singing for over 30 minutes before it stopped. The closest bus/train stop is also 10 minutes walk, so you have to use taxis (or walk a lot). there's nothing to see in the vicinity, its an old residential part of the city. After 3 out of 10 days we decided to leave the place.

Fyra nätter, ger 3 * betalde för 4*
Anlände i hotellet på kvällen efter en lång resa. På plats fick vi veta att hotellet saknade restaurang Min första kriterier vid bokning var just restaurang / kvällsmat därför fick betala för en 4* hotell. Man luras enligt hemsidan med meny och beskrivning av restaurang fast hotellet stängde restaurangen redan under corona. Blev hänvisad till närmaste hotell Charles 400m. Inte där heller finns servering på helgen Vårt rum för 3 pers i tornet ganska litet Man ställde om AC för uppvärmning fast det var 20 grader under vårt vistelse Inga normala fönster i rummet. De små gick inte öppna på grund av väldigt högtrafikerad väg framför, även på natten! Badrummet är jättelitet. Ingen krok för kläder eller flera våta handdukar. Endast 30cm bredd tork. I rummet hittar man inget informationsblad, sytillbehör inte ens en skohorn Hade högre förväntningar på frukost också. Få platser och i den mindre matrummet äckligt smutsig heltäckningsmatta. Städning i övrigt var inte som i en 4*hotell. Positiva är att personalen i receptionen och vid frukost är väldigt trevliga och ger bra service. Bra läge i centrum Kort avstånd -en kvart till Margit bron och bara några minuter till busshållplatsen.

Zimmer waren nicht sauber. Spinnweben an den Ecken. Frühstück minimalistisch, zum Teil altes Brot. Warmes Frühstück in kaltem Behälter, somit kalte Rühreier und kalte Panecake usw. Duschbrausen total verkalkt. Duschen am Morgen nur mit kaltem Wasser. 2 Stunden früher Einchecken mit Aufpreis, was wir noch nie erlebt hatten. Bettlacken sowie Duschtücher nicht sauber. Für so ein 4* Hotel stimmt Preis Leistung absolut nicht.
