"Check in was efficient and staff felt like they wanted to serve you, unlike some places where it feels like you’re a burden. Staff on hand to support you to your room if you need it. The room was well appointed, though both bedside lights were detached from the wall, the TV option to cast from your own device didn’t work, and the shower broke when attempting to use it. "Hotel is nice but definitely not 5* good. Double bed comes with two single quilts so you end up out of the thing throughout the night and the pillows are so soft they are almost pointless. Didn’t have any towels replaced so had to go chasing for some and then only delivered one for two of us. Breakfast is good and the staff are attentive. Gym is well equipped for a hotel facility. "The shower was broken. I told the concierge on the first day, and after 4 nights there it was still not fixed. It floods past my ankles and sprayed everywhere and the shower head kept falling. Additionally, my water bottles were not replaced daily (even after leaving a note asking the cleaning person). I had to ask multiple times for more toiletries. Very clean though and beautiful property. Just a little "grey gardens-y""

"The hotel feels stuck in the 80s. Decor of the whole place is fairly grim. Rooms are big but we had no working fridge, tea or coffee making facilities or functioning air con. The air con turned on but sure as hell didn't do much and mostly smelled of cigarettes. As it was 35 degrees outside that was the major disappointment. "Lovely little boutique hotel in a great location at Buda Castle. Quiet at night and has a great restaurant. Would happily visit again. Our suite was spacious and well appointed. "
