"The Talbot is a funky boutique hotel located in Belmullet. Our room was spacious and quiet with a king size, extremely comfortable bed and good pillows and also a velvet couch to lounge on. The whole hotel is a surprise with its unusual style. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We got a kick out of it. No blah, gray scheme Hampden Inn this!"

"We had a very nice time even though the location was not quite as convenient to amenities as expected. The only negative was the cottage was cool in the evening and overnight. We mentioned this but owner said there were extra blankets, however we couldn’t see how that helped unless we were in bed. We also did not like the fact that all the furniture was shrouded in covers."

"I’d give 10 stars if I could! We had the most wonderful two week stay here. It is a beautiful house in a perfect location. The house had everything we needed and has plenty of space for human guests and for our dogs, they loved it just as much as we did. The area is outstanding, quiet and peaceful with beautiful empty beaches within walking distance or a short drive from the house. On our first day, we saw a pod of dolphins that put on a spectacular display for us 🐬 Belmullet is a lovely wee town with exceptional restaurants and cafes, delicious food & staff who couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. The local people are really friendly, stopping to pass the time of day and making time for each other, something that is a thing of the past in other places I have visited. Such a special place and very heartwarming. Our host Yvonne was excellent with her communications and if she could help in any way, she would. Checking in was easy and there was a very thoughtful welcome gift on our arrival. Yvonne allowed us to fix some wire to the gate so our dogs would be kept safe. We really appreciated being able to do that 🐾 We were so very lucky with beautiful sunny weather for most of our stay, so we have come home feeling totally refreshed and the five hour drive was well worth it. If I had one recommendation, it would be for the caretakers of this beautiful house to ‘up their game’ by way of cleaning (hence only giving 4* for cleanliness) and presentation. Thank you Yvonne. "

"Traveling from the US with two young kids (2 and 4 years old) it was so nice to have two bathrooms, a kitchen and the extra space. The hosts are very friendly, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and the beds were comfy."

"Excellent location. Interesting walks from the door. Good views when the mist lifted. Comfortable sitting room. Well stocked with kitchen equipment. Communication when arriving was good. Gillian, who met me, was helpful, friendly and efficient and gave me some good advice about the area. Matresses were a bit basic. Some of the furniture was quite tired and a bit shabbby nb the bedside cabinet/tables. Downstairs bathroom was quite functional - rather barrack room tiles. Overall however a good place for up to six people to stay."

"The Seascape is an excellent alternate to any hotel or B&B. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable. A quick walk to town. The beach and tidal pool nearby is a comfortable walk. Cora is an excellent host. Communicates very well and with all details. Thank you! "
