Chew Valley Family Event
We just spent four nights at this beautiful house. Everything you could’ve ever wanted traveling with a family from the United States for my father‘s funeral. Having grown up in this area being able to stay in my home village very close to everything with such fond memories was very special. The house is very modern and well equipped With heated bathroom floors, which was lovely when the temperature dipped a little bit! When we return, we will definitely ask to stay here again, Jacqueline our wonderful host was in constant communication and knowing we were returning home for somewhat sad reasons really cheered us up with some beautiful Christmas decorations for the house and some lovely welcome food items in the kitchen. She could not have been more gracious and we’re very grateful for the hospitality. This quality of accommodation and hospitality is rare so thank you for an amazing visit. Love from the Brods

Outstanding house and host.
This house is absolutely perfect for those with limited mobility. The house is safe and well equipped for the elderly or disabled. The kitchen has everything you might need. Communication with Jacqueline was amazing both before and during our stay and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely faultless stay.

Fabulous stay
We stayed at the property four years ago so this is our second visit. Perfect home for a holiday near relatives and celebrating three birthdays. Bungalow has everything you need in beautiful surroundings which are ideal for walking and cycling. My son is a keen cyclist and we enjoyed walking to Chew Lake and the crazy golf nearby. If you book the property you will not be disappointed.

This place was just perfect. Hidden away in the quiet countryside but close to Bristol Airport and not too far from the city center let us get out exploring at our own place. Clean and comfortable we felt very welcome and looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Fantastic property!
This home was impressive. It was in a quiet, private location and had plenty of space for our group. It was very clean and well stocked. The owner was quick to respond to any questions that we had. It was perfect as a base to explore the area. We visited Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds, Wells Cathedral and Cheddar Gorge. It was also nice to be able to walk into the lovely town of Chew Magna to pick up anything we needed at the well stocked co-op. We would definitely stay here again.

A first class experience!
As someone who distributes superlatives sparingly, the standard of this property and my dealings with its owner were outstanding. I booked this on behalf of a young American family and they were astonished at the high standard of everything that was in the property and the welcome that they received. Perfect stay
It is hard to find the words that will do justice to this property. We were lucky enough to have an extended stay due to building work and it truly was a home from home. Every possible comfort and facility is provided and the peace and tranquil location is superb. The wonderful host, Jacqui, has thought of everything- honestly better than any 5 star hotel. We arrived on a wet and cold January evening and walked into the amazingly welcoming warm cottage with lights already on and thoughtful touches such as cake and fruit. Just made all the difference. I thoroughly recommend this property- you will not be disappointed. We are looking forward to visiting again. Thank you Jacqui for your hospitality. We so appreciated it. xxx

Fantastic place to stay
We have just enjoyed a fantastic stay for a few days. The house is lovely and everything you need is provided. The location was brilliant too, Bristol and Bath both very close. I would recommend The Pelican pub in the village along with The Rising Sun in Pensford.

Everything about this accomodation is perfect.,The lovely hostess Jacqui to begin with. Polite, friendly and responds promptly to all queries. Property in very good condition, spacious, comfortable with all amenities available. Board games to play, frisbee n balls to play with outside, books and magazines all available. A well presented kitchen with all essentials and Jacqui had left us a very nice welcome cake. What a kind thing to do. Co op nearby if u need to shop. Just half an hour away from Bristol , in a very beautiful rural setting. Couldnt have asked for more. Thank you Jacqui.

Beautiful house in a great location
Jacqueline was so welcoming & her property is beautiful. The garden offers plenty of space to enjoy a summers afternoon, whilst indoors if it’s not so summery there is a huge fireplace which can be used! The house it’s self is spacious, clean and well equipped and in a fabulous location. It’s a (slow) 15 minute walk to the centre of Chew Magna, with a shop, a cafe, pubs, a distillery, a butchers and a fish restaurant pretty much on your doorstep! It’s also a short driving distance to Bristol, Bath etc! I would throughly recommend staying here to relax with the family. Thank you Jacqueline!

'Get Your Booking Finger Active'
This is one of the best properties we have ever booked in Europe. The setting is stunning, the quality of the property and its fixtures was simply outstanding! We were a party of 5 adults and it enveloped us easily, with large kitchen and living room and magnificent outside spaces (brilliant in the recent heat wave!) Hosts were welcoming, friendly and approachable with lots of suggestions and advice about the area. We were gathered for a wedding locally and it was a terrific location for pre and post wedding get togethers, including large garden for badminton and rounders fun! Locally, the village is a 10 minute walk and there was a great choice of pubs, shops and many other amenities. Totally recommend this lovely property to one and all.
