"What a fantastic setting in lovely wooded surroundings & carp lake for fishing. Taunya was friendly & welcoming & stopped at nothing to make sure our stay went smoothly. Fishing was great fun especially when a carp dragged my rod across the lake. We thoroughly recommend this holiday for relaxing & watching the wildlife."

"Lovely, spacious property in a very peaceful location. We stayed 19 nights to use as a base for house hunting and although the weather prevented us from spending more time relaxing on the lovely terrace it didn't spoil our enjoyment of this holiday. Comfy beds and plenty of space to relax in, we throughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. About 15 mins from Ruffec it strikes the perfect balance between isolation(peace & quiet) and being close enough to your shopping needs. If we ever plan to spend more time in this area I would definitely stay here again. Mossy, the owner, was in regular communication both prior to and during our stay so we had no worries about anything."

"Oh my word!!! Some of the loveliest staff and friendly Locals you will ever meet. We had a vehicle problem. If we had needed to, the Hotel was happy to keep it safe for us until we had it collected days later. Restaurant food was outstanding, starter was the best I have eaten this Holiday. Cafe area was warm and welcoming. Just a perfect stay in a lovely town. Thank you "

"After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed."

"From checking in to checking out, everything was simple and friendly. The hotel is as clean as you could want it to be, it is in a lovely, tranquil setting..I honestly couldn't have asked for more."

"The place was ideal for us. It had the most amazing outdoor areas where we could dine and gather to relax. Temperatures reached 38 degrees and the pool area and decking had plenty of shade and beautiful views looking over the river in the distance. There were two BBQ areas and the kitchen had everything you needed. You could walk to the town where there were a number of restaurants and a short drive across the river to a local supermarket. Highly recommend."

"After I checked in at night I found the wifi didn't work. There was no one at the reception to help me. The next morning I whent to the reception again to ask about the wifi. The clerk signaled she did not understand English. She miraculously learned English instantly when she asked me to pay a € 1.76 fee. I had just arrived from Holland where the 1 cent coins don't circulate anymore so I gave he € 1.75. She refused to accept it withe the 1 cent missing so I gave her €1.80. She got angry when I asked for my change. "
