"My wife and I visit Ann Arbor often, so this time we decided to stay in a neighboring area. This was our first trip to Whitmore Lake - it was a darling sleepy town that I’m sure is teaming with life during the warmer months. The cottage is on a major road so if the door and windows are open it can get a bit noisy. But with door and windows closed it was perfectly quiet. "I was looking for a cabin to spend the weekend with my husband and 2 dogs. The cabin has a warm feel to it. It has games to play, hot tub and sauna. About 50 steps in the back yard is the fire pit then about 100ish steps to the pond. You can’t see the pond from the house but from the hot tub you can! The pond was awesome, there was 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards and a paddle boat. The kitchen and bathroom are brand new and very nice. I unfortunately gave a two on cleanliness. There was some areas...

"The cabin was comfortable and cozy. The record player, the games and the mid-century feel all lent themselves to a relaxed, homey getaway. The canoe and kayaks added to the fun and relaxation. The amount of lighting options were perfect for our family of neuro-divergents. All the small touches added up to a warm, inviting place to relax and regroup after a hectic event. The hosts made check-in/check-out clear and easy. All the comforts of home, halfway across the country!"

"Enjoyed our stay, just as descripted and very clean. Love the snacks that were left for us...very nice touch. Motion activated light by the side door would be helpful when trying to check in late at night. Also an end table in the primary bedroom on both sides would be very helpful. "

"Even though I was not traveling with a pet, finding out that their pet policy is better than most apartments, I will definitely try to stay with them next time I'm traveling with my dog. The road leading into the property was not in great condition, but that's not something they could control. I did not take a picture, but the mirror in my room was slightly damaged in the corner, almost like the mirror coating on the glass was peeling from behind. This wasn't something that affected the useability, but just something that I noticed. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great and it sometimes squealed while in use. Overall, I think this is an older building that might be showing its age, but everything appeared clean and I was very happy with my stay, especially considering how affordable the rate was compared with nearby hotels. "
