"This place was a pigsty both inside and outside. There is broken furniture and crap everywhere. The kitchen benchtops were all cut and damaged. It was more a mens hostel than a backpackers. The room I was given was dirty, and the toilet had been used. There were hairs in the sink and ants crawling on me in my bed. There was no blanket. I had to use the second bath towel for warmth. "We liked that it was quiet, and that we had a balcony overlooking the lake, and it was a short easy walk to the hospital. We didn't like coming back to no lights working - tripped circuit but a phone call helped us locate the switchboard; nor did we like the faulty smoke detector going off at 11.30pm."
