"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is exactly as pictured. Staff was amazing. A few tiny gripes: there is no heated pool or jacuzzi, linens are done every 3rd day and only 1 towel per person is supplied. "Staff friendly and rooms very clean. Have stayed in Praia da Rocha several times before but never at Flor da Rocha. Only disadvantages, staying in late March the balcony always seemed to be in the shade. At no point, even on the sunny warmer days was it ever a sun trap. Think this is due to the other buildings close by and the shape of the building itself. Other disadvantage, which isn't the apartments fault are some of the other guests. Sound proofing between apartments isn't great...

"From our experience, NH holds every nickel a prisoner when it comes to the upgrading and maintenance of its rooms. Spacious but Spartan. The entrance door was jammed so that it took a full FBI style crosscheck to get it open every time. The sliding glass door didn't actually lock, fortunately as we forgot the keys inside once. While other accommodations offered free port and various other welcome gifts, we were met with fee-based everything in the room. Having to 'consider' a twenty Euro penalty...
