"Everything was perfect. We worked with the owner of the property through VRBO and it was very easy to communicate, ask questions and get answers. We visited twice prior to our reservation date to get a feel for who would sleep where of the 40 folks on our list of invitees. The owner was always very accommodating. "This hotel was very clean and in a great location for enjoying Kerr Reservoir. The best part of this place was the service from the front desk staff. I had an issue with my reservation (my fault) and the person at the front desk totally took care of me without any problem. Definitely a place I will return to."

"We had a fantastic stay at Better Lake Than Never! The home was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. Marc the host was incredibly responsive and made check-in a breeze. We especially appreciated home away from home comforts such as a surplus of fresh towels and a well-stocked kitchen with high quality cookware and utensils. The large jetted tub was clean and so very relaxing, not to mention the provided kayaks, life vests, fishing rods, tons of games - even a full badminton set and a foosball table - made our stay that much more pleasant and memorable. Since Better Lake Than Never is pet friendly, we were able to bring our shih-poo along with us, giving us peace of mind while we were away, as well as giving her the opportunity to enjoy her very first vacation! Being right on the water was absolutely beautiful! The retractable awning was a huge plus, as it allowed us to eat lunches outside in comfort. Fishing off the boat dock was so much better than expected. We caught several large catfish, largemouth bass, bluegill, perch, crappie, and a pike!
