"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. "On my visit to Norway I looked for a property close to where I was working. As a keen golfer I noticed the property advertised an on site golf course and driving range. This was the main reason I booked this hotel. I paid extra to fly my clubs over. To my surprise on arrival there was not a golf course in site or driving range. When I enquired about the facility’s I was told the nearest course was over 20 minutes away. This was really disappointing. The property didn’t have an electric charge...

"We were visiting family in Raufoss and this was the only lodging available in the area. It’s pricy for what you get but there’s no other option near Raufoss. The property is old and small. Expect a very basic room with no A/C (pretty common in Europe). There are drinks you can buy at the reception desk and breakfast is available."

"This was a wonderful place to stay. It was so relaxing and quiet. The breakfast was fabulous as well. I got the single twin room and I thought it was perfect for those that want a little privacy. The view was beautiful from the window. I have nothing negative to say. "

"Die Anleitung zur Nutzung der Biotoilette gab es leider nur auf norwegisch. Dank der Google Übersetzer App, klappte es aber. Das warme Wasser war den ersten Tag gelb, bis der Boiler einmal komplett geleert war, da Wasser und Strom im Preis enthalten sind, war das kein weiteres Problem. Der Weg zum Haus vom Parkplatz aus ist steil und bei regen sehr rutschig, dafür genießt man oben die Aussicht."

"We enjoyed our stay at Wood Hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The view was amazing. Breakfast was wonderful. We also dined at the restaurant for dinner and enjoyed that as well. Our only issue what that the shower drained very slowly. Since the shower was the same level as the floor, the water soon spread across the whole bathroom. We notified the front desk and I am sure the drain will be clear before the next guest. "

When I enquired about the facility’s I was told the nearest course was over 20 minutes away. This was really disappointing. The property didn’t have an electric charge point either. This has really put me off using hotels.com again now as I don’t know what to expect from the advertised rooms. The room didn’t look anything like the advertised room and it definitely wasn’t a queen bed. The room temperature couldn’t be adjusted and the room was very basic and not what I was expecting for the price I paid. "
