"Pros: The room was very large, had heated wardrobes for the wet ski things a nice touch. Breakfast was great. Location was great Cons: Had a dining table for 12 but no crockery or cutlery, had to ask for plates and knives and forks every day despite asking for them to just be replaced/cleaned daily without us having to request every day. "I have stayed here before. It’s really close and convenient for the station. It’s nice not to be in a big chain. The hotel is rather dated and tired, but the beds are comfortable, and it’s really clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good. As I said, I’ve stated before and would definitely stay again. "

"On my visit to Norway I looked for a property close to where I was working. As a keen golfer I noticed the property advertised an on site golf course and driving range. This was the main reason I booked this hotel. I paid extra to fly my clubs over. To my surprise on arrival there was not a golf course in site or driving range. "We absolutely loved the hotel! The Polish lady at the reception was absolutely lovely and helpful with the restaurant recommendation. We stayed in a Superior twin room and it was much bigger than we expected. The hotel is in a heart of Lillehammer so couldn’t ask for a better location. The breakfast was delicious, so much choice! Freshly made waffles are a must to try as they are absolutely delicious! Having an additional heater in a room was amazing as it was quite cold outside when we stayed....

"The Scandic Hamar is a very clean hotel and they offer a good breakfast buffet. The beds were comfortable and the rooms well appointed. What was not so good was the staff and their attitude toward guests. They were not friendly, did not smile or offer a welcoming word. "Brilliant hotel. Perfect to visit Lillehammer. Breakfast was nice and a lovely buffet style evening meal was enough. Really loved coming back in the afternoon after a days walking to free cake and cofffee. The bed was comfy and very clean rooms. "

"Property located at train station. Very basic but clean and super convenient for an overnight before heading out again because we wanted to see the country by daylight. Fair price and we were able to take our luggage to upstairs room and enjoy the charming town a few blocks away. Glad I had cleats for slippery streets in late February."

"Loved the easy access with a door code, the drying room and the restaurant was amazing! The food was cooked perfect and the staff were amazing! The rooms where good for what you need the as, a base station for a skiing holiday and the water pressure was great! "
