"Perfect! Quirky, older, comfortable style. I had a room on the front - spacious, good bed linen, sparkling water and shortbread etc. Good shower (over bath). No noise from road overnight. Very cosy bar area where I ate and superb food. Can see why this would be a great place to dine in summer. I didn’t make breakfast as chose to have a lie in before heading to the office but I’ve seen it’s good "

"Hotel is in beautiful setting with stunning views. There are a couple of lounges where you can relax looking at the stunning scenery. There is an honesty bar you can help yourself to drinks & nibbles at a reasonable cost. Breakfast was fantastic and very delicious with locally sourced produce and they cater for coeliacs. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bedroom was lovely with complementary snacks, tea, coffee and fresh milk. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom too. The hotel is only Bed & Breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat locally for an evening meal. The breakfast they serve sets you up for the day plus you can order sandwiches if you want a picnic lunch. Looking forward to another visit soon. "

"Great place to stay for a few days. I was looking for somewhere just outside of Cardiff for a few days for a break on my way down to London, turned out to be a very convenient stay and great value too. My room was nicely heated, comfortable bed, good water pressure and clean. The Hotel has a nice bar downstairs for a Friday night drink (very quiet too). Staff were quite friendly and there were a few good options for local cafes and restaurants. It's a good choice and good value. I only stayed two nights. Took a nice drive down to Penarth on morning for breakfast and a walk (10 min drive). Likewise it's not a long drive to Cardiff CBD. Good stay. "

"Beautiful place to stay with really professional and super friendly staff. The whole place feels relaxed and really well thought out. Brilliant food, lovely accommodation. We had a great time! Only problem was the very thin duvet but I’m sure if we had realised before bedtime and told them they would have changed this for us. We managed by turning up the heating a little and sleeping in jumpers. Highly recommend this spot for anyone, honestly it’s brilliant! "
