The location allowed for a quiet, peaceful stay with the ability to see the northern lights without light pollution, and was not far from many sites and attractions. "Amazing home, modern and well kept, with stunning views of the mountains and a great place for viewing the aurora borealis. A beautiful deck and hot tub, and a cute guest house with half bath a bit separate from the main house. A fireplace in the living room was very cozy. There were kids games and toys for different ages. Plenty of linens and towels provided, and the host was helpful and communicative, with easy arrival, check-in and check-out. "We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here"

"Beautiful homes; we would definitely return! 10 of us enjoyed our stay at these two lovely homes. Both houses were clean, spacious, and well stocked. The windows in the main house were especially wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes for our large group to have home cooked meals at the large table. We had trouble getting the lock box open (likely frozen shut) and the key to the second cottage was tricky / sticky and needed some extra finesse to get in/out....

"We are parents and 2 adult children. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well thought out with all necessary needs. It is very quiet and lovely for those who are not city folks. We enjoyed many road trips from this spot on our short stay. We would certainly recommend it for exploring the west country, which is fascinating. "Stayed in small camping pod and loved it. Loved the atmosphere there. Overall, much greater than I expected, and I already was excited for the stay. the restaurant overlooking the waterfalls and river, the troll garden stroll, the hot tubs. All superb. It is in a remote area and provided us an excellent view of the northern lights, which we watched from the hot tub. Ideal experience, I recommend giving it a shot. "
